I don't know about you, but many of my dreams are totally illogical, if not downright magical, with people morphing into other people and other physical impossibilities. One of my most vivid dreams involved the Ernst & Young office where different floors were located in different buildings across downtown Los Angeles. While you could always walk the stairway at least to the next floor up and the next floor down, more distant floors were only accessible by elevator.
Consequently I was surprised to have a dream which required some thought to determine that it made perfect sense. In the dream my Jewish friend who had a CPA practice preparing tax returns asked me if it was OK to send out promotional materials to her tax return clients, as well as other contacts for whom she did not prepare tax returns. I interpreted the question to mean whether it was ethical to send the materials to non-clients and was going to answer the question. But another friend who was there quickly interjected that it would not be proper because it was Saturday, and sending out the materials would constitute an impermissible conduct of business on Saturday. Which was the answer that my Jewish friend was looking for.
